How does the consultation process work?

Initial consultations begin remotely. You contact us with details about the procedure you’re considering, your medical history and any photographs where relevant. Karen reviews your enquiry and provides a personalised response with procedure options and indicative pricing. A formal surgical consultation then takes place in Thailand before your procedure.

Is there any obligation to proceed after a consultation?

No. All consultations are completely obligation-free. Many patients go through multiple rounds of questions before deciding to proceed — we are happy to answer questions at any stage with no pressure to commit.

Who will I deal with throughout the process?

You deal directly with Karen from your first enquiry through to your return to Australia. There are no call centres or handoffs. Karen is personally present in Thailand for your consultation, surgery and follow-up appointments.

How far in advance do I need to plan?

We recommend planning at least 6–8 weeks in advance to allow time for consultation, surgical scheduling, flights and accommodation. Popular periods — particularly January to March — book out quickly, so earlier is better.

Can I combine multiple procedures in one trip?

Yes — many patients combine procedures to reduce overall recovery time and travel costs. Common combinations include breast surgery with a tummy tuck (Mummy Makeover), or multiple facial procedures. Suitability for combined procedures is assessed by your surgeon at consultation.

What is included in the procedure price?

All procedure prices include hospital stay, theatre fees, surgeon fees, anaesthetist fees, medications, private room and meals. Accommodation outside the hospital is arranged separately and is included in package pricing where specified.

How do I pay for my surgery?

You pay the hospital directly — there are no agency markups or funds held by us. This means you have full transparency over what you are paying and to whom. Payment arrangements are confirmed with the hospital prior to travel.

How much cheaper is surgery in Thailand compared to Australia?

Are the prices on your website guaranteed?

Prices shown are indicative starting prices based on standard procedures. Final pricing is confirmed following your surgeon’s assessment and depends on your specific requirements, procedure complexity and hospital fees. We will always provide a clear itemised quote before you commit to anything.

Is cosmetic surgery in Thailand safe?

Safety depends on choosing the right hospital, the right surgeon, and having realistic expectations and a proper recovery plan. We work exclusively with accredited hospitals that hold internationally recognised certifications including JCI and ISO accreditation. All surgeons are qualified and licensed professionals.

Is cosmetic surgery in Thailand regulated?

Yes. Private hospitals and surgeons in Thailand are regulated by the Thai Ministry of Public Health. The hospitals we work with hold accreditations including JCI (US-based Joint Commission International) and Thai Hospital Accreditation (HA), which reflect rigorous quality and safety standards.

What are the risks of cosmetic surgery?

All surgical procedures carry risks including infection, bleeding, scarring, anaesthetic reactions and unsatisfactory results. These risks are discussed in detail during your consultation with the surgeon. Karen’s role is to help ensure you are fully informed before making any decision.

What if something goes wrong after I return to Australia?

Karen maintains contact with clients after they return home. In the event of a post-operative concern, she will help coordinate communication with the surgical team and advise on appropriate follow-up care. We recommend consulting a local GP or specialist for any medical concerns on return.

How long should I stay in Thailand?

Stay length depends on the procedure and your individual recovery. As a general guide: minor procedures 5–7 days, breast surgery 7–10 days, tummy tuck or body contouring 10–14 days, combined procedures up to 3 weeks. Karen will advise you on a recommended timeline for your specific plan.

When can I fly home after surgery?

This depends on your procedure and your surgeon’s clearance. Most patients are cleared to fly 7–14 days post-surgery. Long-haul flights carry a DVT risk after surgery, so your surgeon will advise on precautions including compression garments and movement during the flight.

Does Karen stay with me the whole time?

Karen is present in Thailand for your consultation, surgery day, and follow-up appointments. She is available throughout your stay for questions, practical support and daily check-ins. She is not present 24 hours a day but is always contactable and nearby.

Is accommodation included?

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes cover for medical complications overseas. Standard travel insurance policies often exclude elective surgery complications, so check your policy carefully or speak with a specialist medical travel insurance provider before you travel.
